325 West Midland Trail, Lexington, VA 24450. We are a 15-minute walk through the back campus trails or a three-minute drive to the center of Lexington, Virginia.

We have a few special event dates throughout the year where there is a minimum length of stay. Most dates have no minimum stay!

We have 33 traditional “drive-up” motel rooms with exterior room access in our main building. We also have an additional 20 rooms in the Outpost about 50 feet from the main building. These rooms have a parking in a lot just out front and all rooms are accessed off a central corridor.

We have a great self-check-out pantry option available for guests. We are focused on providing some of our favorite local beer, wine, seltzers, cheeses, meats and snacks to our guests (and their pets!). We also offer a few local gift items and atomically cool KG merch!

BuddyLou’s is our 1959 Shasta parked out back that serves drinks and snacks on Friday and Saturday evenings during the late spring, summer and early fall. Perfect for a pre-dinner drink out back on the patio! (Buddy and Lou are the nicknames for one of our owner’s siblings).

Guests may cancel their reservation up to 24 hours prior to the date of arrival and receive a full refund. Reservations canceled within 24 hours of the date of arrival will be charged one night’s room rate plus applicable taxes.

Please note that select holiday weekends, special events, and peak-demand dates may be subject to different policies, including extended cancellation windows and minimum stay requirements. Any special terms will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.

Yes, Astro can come!

There is a $75.00 (1-3 nights), $150 (4+ nights) non-refundable cleaning fee, for up to two (2) pets due at check-in. All guests are required to sign our Pet Policy prior to checking in with pets. Please ask about our “General’s Best Friend” upgrade which includes a wipeable dog bed, treat samples and disposable food and water bowls set up in your room pre-arrival!

Our front desk is staffed 24/7. All guests have the option to digitally check and receive a space age access code for their room. If you prefer a more traditional check-in experience, swing by the front desk and grab a vintage style motel key.

On Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7-10am we offer complimentary Roadmap Coffeeworks and pastries from two of our favorite local bakeries in the lobby. On all other mornings, coffee and tea are offered on a complimentary basis in the lobby and for-purchase great for you grab and go breakfast options are available through the KG Pantry (think yogurt, granola, oatmeal, protein bars, and cold brew).

We have a retro-style patio, firepit with Adirondack chairs, fenced dog park, and several picnic tables set up to enjoy Blue Ridge Mountain views. We also have some great lawn games for guests including cornhole, badminton, and a giant Connect-4 set. Our location is across the street from the W&L Back Campus Trail network, which is a fabulous option for a morning walk with Astro down to the Maury River or a short stroll into Lex for breakfast.

Come get groovy! We have a guest lounge right behind our lobby with a custom Malm fireplace, TV, restored record player, and lots of family friendly and adult games available.

Yes, we have several options for connecting rooms which are great for groups or families. Some of these rooms are King Rooms connected to our Twin XL Double Bunks and others are King Rooms connected to our Double Queen Rooms. All connecting rooms are located in the Outpost off a central corridor. These rooms are listed as connecting rooms on our website, but you can always call or email our Front Desk to book connecting rooms.

Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not permitted in any of our indoor spaces and will incur a $500 cleaning fee.

We are really excited to be offering something different, but we are a limited-service motel! If you are looking for room service, a full bar, and free hot breakfast—we aren’t your girl.

If you are looking for something a little funky and a lot retro; with weekend pop-ups from our favorite farmers, a pantry shop highlighting Virginia’s finest, 100% long staple cotton sheets and towels made in America, luxury bath amenities, luxury mattresses made in Norfolk, meeting new friends over backgammon on the patio, cornhole tournaments with a side of s’mores, and a whole lot of hospitality—we can’t wait to host you!
